Just ran a com vs com simulation of tonight's Patriots/Giants game with the Tecmo Super Bowl 2007 ROM from the awesome folks at knobbe.org. Will the Patriots remain undefeated? Or will the G-Men play the spoiler?
Inquiring minds wanted to know, and here are the results:
Oof. Randy Moss had 3 TDs, while Wes Welker and Laurence Maroney had 2 each. Patriots receivers were open all day.
The Giants missed a 45 or so yard field goal just before halftime. They also barely avoided a 4th down safety late in the 4th quarter, leading to yet another Patriots TD. Plaxico Burress was the lone NYG TD.
It was ugly, folks. Let's hope the actual game is a little bit closer than this one...
UPDATE: Turns out the game was a LOT closer than the sim: Patriots 38, Giants 35.
